Workshop


GMP operates a workshop complex where process plant infrastructure and components are fabricated. Fabrication includes:

Vibrating screens/
Conveyor belt structure, conveyor belt gantry sections, slew conveyors
(sizes from 600 mm to 1 200mm are supplied).

Vibrating gearbox mechanisms and beams.
Frames, underpans, chutes to client’s specification.

In House Support Services



Electrical reticulation design, installation and maintenance
HDPE piping installation
Ceramic tiling and linings
Conveyor belting installation, splicing and repairs
Pulley lagging services

The company also has access to full coal laboratory services as well as the use of well-equipped employee medical examination, induction and training facilities. 

Although GMP has grown rapidly since its establishment, growth was, and still is, handled responsibly so as not to over-extend the company’s resources.
However, the company has now reached a stage where it is ready and geared up to grow its operations further.

GMP is currently busy expanding its client base and as a result it is offering and conducting the above-mentioned service
to other mineral resources and mining companies in various commodity types.

Training Skills and Development

 

It is the GMP’s objective to, through ongoing skills development and training,
contribute to the social and economic upliftment, development and growth of the country.

There is an ever-increasing demand for an adequately trained and skilled labor force in the mining
and mining related industries with the emphasis on safety, productivity, efficiency and economy.

In recognition of these industry demands and the company’s own responsibilities to live up thereto,
GMP has developed and implemented a strategy to foster an ongoing learning culture in the company.

To this end the company is continuously engaged in developing and educating selected members of its workforce
through making use of accredited external training providers to provide and address the necessary identified
training needs of our employees to enhance safety, quality of service, increased productivity and a contented labor force.
